Akshat Patel received his B. Tech (Bachelor of Technology) from Institute of Technology, Nirma University (ITNU) in 2021. He also worked as a research intern at the thermal engineering division of Space Applications Centre (SAC-ISRO) till January 2023. He will be pursuing his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. He has worked on novel designs of thermal management systems for space electronics and payloads. His research interests include electronic cooling, computational modelling, multiphase heat transfer and thermoelectric devices. Aside from research, he likes to paint and playing volleyball. He is a recipient of the Purdue Winkelman fellowship.
